Sounds to me like the goddamn witnesses didn’t do enough to try to stop this piece of shit…
Of course hindsight is always 20/20 but believe me, If I see someone beating a toddler in a savage way, rest assured I’ll somehow get them to stop…wether it means with my own hands, with a tire iron or with firepower…I wouldnt be able to live with myself knowing I possibly could have done more to save an innocent victims life. Indifference is almost just as bad in my opinion.
Too bad the asshole responsible went quick…if anyone is a candidate for a slow and agonizing death, this would have to be it.
Add this to the stack of piling evidence that confirms that we as a species are a lost fucking cause.

No big loss and now I won’t have to deal with his unfounded egomania tainting the sport I love so much.
Your undefeated record will mean shit and regardless of what you claim; you will never be remembered as being one of the greats.
